Orcas Can Make You Money!
Low cost increases profits. Orca boats cost less to operate and less to maintain. Lower costs mean high profits whether hauling fish up to the Yukon or controlling pollution in New York Harbor.
Lower initial cost. Using modern manufacturing techniques, Orca boats builds a solid dependable workboat. Add only the optional equipment you need and put the savings in your pocket.
Lower shipping cost. Orca boats are designed to be nestle stacked. Pilot houses are available in kit form to keep shipping cost even lower.
Lower maintenance costs. Thick hand-laid fiberglass, PVC rub rails and other commercial grade construction features make an Orca boat nearly indestructible. Simplicity of design eliminates high maintenance.
Safety pays. Orca’s safety features protect your crewmen with nonskid self-bailing decks.
Lower operating costs. Orca boats have a unique modified trihedral hull that is designed to carry tremendous loads at high speed with small fuel efficient engines.
V-Bow and flared funwales. The shallow v-bow and flared gunwales give you a softer dryer ride and allow level beaching for easy loading. The wide flat bottom planes easily on top of the water even when fully loaded. The shallow draft is perfect for reverse and beach work.
Inverse chines. An Orca boat has three sets of progressively wider inverse chines. Lightly loaded, it runs on the narrowest set. Load it heavier and it runs on the wider chines.
Planing. As your load increases, so does your planing surface. The chines are inverse to force the water down and the hull up for increased lift. When stopped, the hull rests on the widest set for stability.
Bow Door. The orca Cargo models have an aluminum water-tight bow door. It can be used at a water level as a work platform or boarding door for divers. On the beach it is a 500 lb capacity loading ramp. Wide enough to roll a 55-gallon drum sideways, the door makes loading quick and simple. The bow of the Cargo models are reinforced to give added protection for beaching.
Commercial-Grade Construction Features
Orca boats are engineered with the highest standards of durability and resilience, making them ideal for demanding environments. The robust construction includes thick, hand-laid fiberglass hulls that withstand the harshest conditions, ensuring longevity and reducing the need for frequent repairs. The incorporation of PVC rub rails provides additional protection against impacts, while the simplicity of the design minimizes maintenance requirements. These features collectively contribute to lower operational costs, making Orca boats a cost-effective choice for oil response operators and cargo haulers.
